Business challenge
As the client was preparing to launch new version of their travel portal, they planned to run the promotional campaigns. During the campaign period they were expecting heavy traffic on their portal. The client wanted to ensure following before going live with their promotional campaigns
- Load test the application to assess scalability to withstand load up to 1000 concurrent users.
- Ensure that there is no slowdown of the website during contests as the number of users logged in would be high.
- Identify any performance bottlenecks and assess scalability in terms of response times, server performance, database performance and points of failure under different load conditions.
